PAUL ADAMSON
HISTORY OF THE SAITAMA JETS / 埼玉ジェッツ歴史
Our team-mate and friend, #7 Paul Adamson, passed away in 2004. His number has been retired by the Jets and is worn on the hearts of our jersies. The Paul Adamson Memorial Cup is a tribute to Paul's sportsmanship, athletic ability, and leadership. Paul was a hard-working, kind, and the life of a party. Annual memorial football tournaments are held in the UK as well as in Japan.
The Saitama JETs FC began life in 1996 when five footballers found themselves working in Saitama, Japan and without a team to play for. They decided to start their own team and Saitama Jets was formed. Being a mixture of Brits and Americans it was difficult to decide on a name for the team. Personal allegiances, for the Brits especially, ruled out anything along the lines of United, City, Albion, and Forest, so the slightly American name of Saitama Jets FC was settled upon.

SAITAMA STADIUM TOURNAMENT 2006 CHAMPIONS
The Saitama Jets 2nds, with help from friendly enemies of TML Division 3 Champions King George Pub, managed to take the plate "trophy" at the June 5-6th, 2010 installment.

TOCHIGI TOURNAMENT 2005 CHAMPIONS
ALT Champions - The Jets defeated arch-rivals Sala twice in Tochigi, both matches hard fought and exciting.Tochigi started the road to Saitama Stadium the following year.

Champions of Champions - In the 3rd National ALT tournament, the Saitama Jets defeated holders Niigata at the Saitama Stadium to become All-Japan ALT Champions. With the tournament canceled in 2007 the Jets attempted to defend their title in 2008, but in spite of the Jets winning the right to move on to the Final 8 for the last several years, the tournament at Saitama Stadium has been cancelled.
